A heartfelt celebration in the Greek countryside of Nafplio.
In the heart of the countryside near Nafplio, Romain and Solène celebrated their love with an intimate wedding at Opora Country Living. Surrounded by olive groves, they exchanged vows right in the middle of the trees, with only their closest friends around them.
Before it all began, Solène got ready, looking like a Greek goddess in her flowing white dress. Everything felt soft and effortless — even her bouquet looked as if it had been picked straight from the grove.
Guests found their way to the ceremony following small wooden signs hanging from the olive trees. The setting was calm, almost suspended in time. The couple shared their vows, mixing emotion, laughter, and a few Greek traditions along the way — including the rice toss as they walked back down the aisle. The bridesmaids, holding baby’s breath and olive branches, added to the simple and natural palette.
As the day slowly shifted into evening, everyone gathered in another part of the estate. The atmosphere stayed true to the place — natural, relaxed, and beautifully understated. Soft greens, eucalyptus, olive branches, and beige linen blended effortlessly with the landscape. Wooden chairs, touches of lavender… nothing felt overdone, everything just felt right.
A long table brought everyone together, decorated with small white flowers and candles that started to glow as the light faded. String lights hung above, and nearby, a giant tic-tac-toe game quickly turned into a fun distraction between conversations.
Romain and Solène had prepared small gifts for their guests — bottles of olive oil from the estate itself, each with a simple “MERCI” tag. A detail that felt personal, and very them.
Guests were also invited to write postcards, leaving behind little notes, memories, and wishes for the couple to read later on.
As the sun set, dinner began. A generous Greek family-style meal by Dipnosofistirion brought everyone around the table, sharing food, stories, and plenty of laughter. Fresh cocktails followed at the open bar, while wooden lanterns added a warm glow to the evening. For dessert, a classic white wedding cake added a timeless touch to the celebration.
From there, the night unfolded naturally — speeches, dancing, laughter, and that feeling of not wanting it to end. Barely noticing the time passing, everyone stayed a little longer, celebrating love, friendship, and a summer night in Greece.
