A vibrant wedding in the heart of Paros.
Antonia and Christos’ wedding in Paros was a vibrant and heartfelt celebration, deeply rooted in Greek tradition.
The celebrations began in the picturesque village of Marpissa, with a pre-wedding gathering at a local tavern. It was one of those simple, warm moments where everyone comes together around a generous Greek meal. The décor reflected the island’s spirit, with peppers used as unexpected vases filled with bougainvillea — a playful detail that set the tone.
On the wedding day, Antonia got ready surrounded by her closest friends and her mother, in a calm yet excited atmosphere. She wore a loose white dress delicately embroidered with flowers on the bodice, paired with a long white veil flowing softly behind her. Her shoes, adorned with blue butterflies, added a poetic touch, while her vibrant bouquet echoed the joyful mood of the day. The bridesmaids, in elegant colorful dresses, completed the scene effortlessly.
The ceremony took place at Agios Ioannis Detis chapel in Monastiri, a setting suspended between sea and sky. Surrounded by the Cycladic landscape, the traditional Orthodox ceremony felt both emotional and timeless.
As the evening approached, guests gathered at the villa, seamlessly integrated into its natural surroundings — stone walls, large rocks, and rolling hills in the distance. Long tables were set at the front, dressed with a printed paper tablecloth designed as a continuous roll, scattered with small glass vases of seasonal flowers and soft candlelight. Disposable cameras added a playful touch, while string lights overhead brought warmth as night fell.
From there, the celebration unfolded effortlessly. Between the open bar, DJ set, and heartfelt speeches, laughter and emotion filled the space. The dance floor quickly took over, carrying the night into a lively party under the stars.
As a final touch, ceramic wedding favors by Yria were offered to guests — a meaningful way to take a piece of the celebration home.
Antonia and Christos’ wedding was a beautiful balance of tradition, color, and togetherness, set against the natural beauty of Paros.
