Between mountains and sea, Karin and Victor celebrated more than a wedding—it was a coming together of cultures, traditions, and the people they love most.

They chose Litochoro, a place deeply rooted in Victor’s family history, nestled at the foot of the legendary Mount Olympus. It felt both meaningful and grounding—the perfect setting to bring together their Japanese and Greek worlds.

The celebrations began high in the mountains at Prionia, where the sound of running water and the cool forest air set a calm, almost meditative tone. Guests gathered around long tables, sharing Greek dishes and local wine in a warm, unhurried atmosphere that felt more like a family gathering than a formal event.

The wedding day itself unfolded in two parallel rhythms. Karin spent the morning at the Robolo Hotel, surrounded by her family—some wearing traditional Japanese attire—creating a beautiful blend of heritage and intimacy. Her bridesmaids, dressed in vibrant orange, added a joyful burst of color to the morning.

Meanwhile, Victor prepared at his grandmother’s home, a place filled with memories. It brought a quiet, personal depth to the day—something simple, yet intimately meaningful.

The ceremony took place at Saint Demetrios Church. As guests gathered outside beneath umbrellas, four opera singers opened the moment, their voices echoing softly and setting an emotional tone. The Orthodox ceremony that followed was rich in symbolism, with the crowning standing out as a particularly moving moment.

By the time everyone arrived at Heleon Beach, the atmosphere shifted into something both elegant and relaxed. Soft yellow hues, orange-and-white checked tablecloths, and hand-painted ornaments created a setting that felt intimate and full of character. Flowers, local herbs, oranges, and ceramic details added layers of texture—vibrant, yet natural and unpretentious.

Every detail carried a personal touch. Guests received ceramic bowls crafted in Japan by an artist who traveled especially for the celebration, presented in custom boxes marked with the couple’s golden “K & V.” Handmade origami, created by friends and family and handpainted lanterns carefully designed by La Fête and Stephane Poux, a family friend and designer.

As the sun set, the celebration came alive. Fireworks, Greek dancing, heartfelt speeches, and moments of pure joy and laughter that stretched into the early hours carried the night forward.

The following day, no one was quite ready to say goodbye. So everyone gathered once more by the sea at Akrotiri Beach Restaurant, sharing a relaxed brunch—a gentle, sunlit ending to a celebration that felt as much about connection as it did about the wedding itself.
