A LOVELY SEASIDE DESTINATION WEDDING

This lovely  seaside destination wedding on the island of Antiparos was the epitome of Mediterranean chic!

When the la fete team first met Kelly and Hugo they could see that they were a perfect match. They also realized straight away that the couple had a laid-back elegance about them. Kelly and Hugo had a concise idea of what they didn’t want but needed some guidance on how best to incorporate their ideas cohesively into their dream wedding. They chose la fete because of the team’s innovative sense of style, bespoke wedding concepts and vast knowledge of the region. La fete worked closely with Kelly and Hugo to make sure every aspect of their wedding was carefully curated and that their ideas were incorporated into a bespoke concept that was authentically them.

The couple hails from France and knew they wanted to have a Mediterranean wedding. They chose Greece specifically for its unique culture, picturesque beaches, perfect weather, varied landscape and iconic architecture.  Ultimately, the couple chose a Mediterranean Chic concept with a natural color palette of white, green and fuchsia. They knew they wanted to keep the elements of their wedding minimal and chic. It was also extremely important that their celebration embraced the natural essence of the picturesque island.

La fete knows that stationery is an extremely important aspect for any wedding. The invitations are the first glimpse guests get of the wedding and the stationary needs to reflect the couple’s style and vibe. La fete worked closely with Kelly and Hugo to create something chic with clean lines and without an overwhelming amount of content. The couple decided on a thicker, high-quality card stock, incorporating classic blue (Pantone’s 2020 Color of the Year) as a tribute to the Greek sea and sky. They design was their inspiration. The stationary was a work of art in its own right and was truly Mediterranean chic!

For the special weekend celebration, Kelly and Hugo invited the talented photographer Evan Civas. The photographer's breath-taking photographs perfectly captured Kelly and Hugo's love story as well as special intimate moments with their family and friends.

When the celebratory weekend finally arrived, Kelly and Hugo along with their guests kicked off the festivities immediately with a chic and laid-back pre-wedding party at a private villa on Antiparos island. At the party guests laughed and danced while they enjoyed gourmet, locally-inspired Greek hors d'oeuvres and cocktails while soaking up the warm Greek sunlight in a lovely Mediterranean villa, overlooking the sea.

For the celebration, we selected for them a seaside venue in Antiparos that was equally sophisticated and laid-back. The chic bride chose a stunning minimal wedding dress with gorgeous lace embellishments coordinating with the white flowers in her bridal bouquet. The bride opted for a bespoke bridal bouquet of locally-sourced greenery with eucalyptus, olive leaves and freesia flowers. Her hair was styled elegantly and she wore a crown of flowers in her hair. She was accompanied by adorable cherubesque flower girls who wore coordinating flowers in their hair. The stylish groom wore a natural linen suit with a crisp white shirt and accessorized with a white pocket scarf and gorgeous woven leather shoes.

The intimate and emotional wedding ceremony began with wedding toasts from loved ones to the couple.

At the stunning seaside venue, the couple exchanged vows of love and commitment to each other under a whimsical wedding arch laced with natural local greenery composed of olive and eucalyptus and bougainvillea. After exchanging vows, the lovely couple was showered with locally-sourced olive leaves. At at the end the jewish blessing was so touching!

Immediately, following the ceremony guests were served customized cocktails and Prosecco to toast the couple. When it was time to attend the reception, the guests were presented with creative seating arrangements. They were served customized cocktails with a humorous sign directing them to:  “Take a shot, take a seat.” The drinks were labeled in order to guide the guest to the appropriate Greek island-themed table.

When guests arrived at their assigned tables they were impressed by the dreamy decor and amazing views. The guests were seated family-style at linen-covered monastery tables, with crisp white napkins accentuated with minimal olive branches. The centerpieces included place cards with the couple’s wedding logo and were locally-sourced greenery of olive and eucalyptus combined with fresh delicate white flowers that were highlighted by the soft glow of fairy lights. As a personal touch, the couple opted for personalized miniature bottles of rosemary-infused Greek olive oil for guests to take home as wedding favors.

When the dinner was served, guests’ enjoyed a menu of locally-sourced, creative Greek cuisine and French wine, which the couple had imported themselves, under romantic garland lights and the starry night sky..

The energetic DJ  and the ambianic fairy lighting kept guests dancing, laughing and singing well into the night.

Everyone loved every single moment! It was truly magical!
