FRENCH , LEMONS AND A LOT OF EMOTIONS

This wedding was everything except common, a non-traditional marriage in the very Greek island of Paros, we loved that two cultures mixed together become one. This is about Victoire and Louis, this French young couple and fresh new family with their new born Raphaelle who came to Greece with their French friends and family to say yes for life. But even if they are not from Paros, it wasn’t their first time there because they have bought a house in the romantic island, and this is where all the wedding took place. This all white modern and traditional villa welcomed all the guests for this exceptional union. In the middle of nowhere, around mountains and meadow, it was so special and romantic to create an event full of love there, I think it was meant to be.

During the time that Louis is putting his suit on with the help of the men in his life, our dear Victoire is getting her make-up and hairstyle done by the wonderful Ioanna who’s doing that with perfection. She is putting her magical engagement ring on her left hand, and above all the most important is her stupefying wedding dress which makes her look like a splendid white flower. After getting ready in a different room while drinking champagne, it’s time for them to meet outdoors for the ceremony.

The ceremony took place beside the house in the garden, the guests were sitting on hay looking at the lovely couple, everything was bohemian, all natural as the couple asked. The priest who came for the ceremony was French by luck, their traditional catholic ceremony was very touching to see with religious French songs, sung by a talented young woman with its musicians. The couple made a very touching speech about the love they have for each other, growing together since they are 20 with all the hard steps of life and having a child together, a few words that made everyone speechless and made us cry a lot. The sincerity in their eyes was like no other one and you can tell easily that they are made for each other.

After all these emotions everyone needed a hug and why not some dancing? With the help of a traditional Greek band Kimonas who played guitar and bouzouki, the youngest like the oldest put their foot on the dancefloor and dance all together. But it’s not over for the emotions here we go again, with the parent’s speech, here everyone lost their mind, proud parents and some indescribable words showing their love for their child. But all these tears opened the stomach, it’s now time for them to eat, it is the occasion for the guests to taste some Greek traditional food like Loukoumades gently prepared by Aliprantis and Tserki for the dessert. On a long long table under the trees and lighting candles, the theme of the decoration was about lemon a lot of lemon, some sea blue and a lot of white and flowers. A lot of white candles placed in old fashioned jams where placed on the tables. Victoire and Louis offered to their guests some olive oil from their Parian fields typical of Greece, something to remember this unforgettable moment in the island of Paros.

And then the show must go on, they partied all night celebrating love and being grateful for their loved one. The next morning the couple woke up ( they hadn't slept a lot ) to meet friends and family for an after wedding brunch around some cocktails and Souvlaki at Piso Livadi in front of the beach. At night there were some fireworks that exploded like their love on that special day.

To King Louis and Goddess Victoire, your love story is a true romance, and you will stand by your side forever and after.
