Daphne spent her summers in Tsagkarada, Pelion — a village nestled among towering plane trees and blooming hydrangeas.
Her dream was always to get married in her hometown, to get ready in her stone-built family home. Alex was completely on board — and so the planning began.

The garden of her home was the first idea, but circumstances led us to a unique and meaningful alternative: the village school. For the first time, the Nanopouleio Foundation granted access to its courtyard for a private event. The Orthodox ceremony took place at the church in Tsagkarada’s main square, followed by a warm welcome reception. Platis Catering exceeded all expectations, delivering an exceptional culinary experience.

Later, long wooden tables and chairs adorned with colorful hydrangeas and feathers gathered from the village awaited the guests for a rustic dinner featuring traditional local recipes. The open bar kept everyone refreshed with signature cocktails, while the photobooth captured joyful moments and the DJ quickly drew guests to the dance floor. As a farewell gift, handcrafted ceramic favors — designed especially for the couple — arrived from Sifnos, adding a subtle nod to the groom’s seaside roots. Lighting, sound, and transportation were flawlessly organized, despite the project’s complexity.

Dancing continued until the early morning hours. That weekend, the village — and all of Pelion — moved to the rhythm of this unforgettable celebration. 

A rustic wedding infused with the village’s atmosphere and rich traditions, paired with a modern, youthful touch — perfectly reflecting Daphne and Alex’s personal style — made this celebration truly unique.
